I grew up here in Southern California in a little place called Manhattan Beach. By the time I was 17 I was playing in a few local punk rock bands- Nip Drivers, South Bay's Far Side, Big Lung, Mr.Slate, and San Diego's Diatribe. I started framing houses and doing remodels which took me to Phoenix, Arizona for a few years and then down to San Diego, California for about the next 5 years. I started tattooing around 1995 in Phoenix. When I got to San Diego I started working at a shop for the first time. I worked at several shops in San Diego over the next few years before opening my own shop Badfish Tattoo. Before Badfish, I worked at White Devil Tattoo, Tattooland, and Tattoo Gallery. After the birth of my daughter Aryana, we (Aryana and I), moved to Oahu, Hawaii. We lived there for 3 years while I worked at A Tiki Tattoo on Kuhio in Waikiki.
